Your point being ?!?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteBirds of a feather....
DeleteI hear they all support the Red Lion Strollers.
ReplyDeleteWhich of course is admirable. We should all support local groups. I support Penyffordd Wine Circle.
Oh dear oh dear
ReplyDeleteYou really have lost the plot Col !
Are you on the wine now by any chance?????
Weetabix and wine mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I think you'll find that the majority of Penyffordd people are against giving any monies to your drinking club
ReplyDeleteWhy dont you run a poll on your site and see what people really think?
(Or are you going to just delete this reply too 'cos you don't like it)
Red Lion people drink wine and beer
ReplyDeletePenyffordd Wine Circle people drink wine and beer.
The difference being?
I delete very little if any. I think it best your comments are left for everyone to see.
You may think you're clever.
I've upset a few people by telling some home truths. Other commenters have made some very good points
With regards a poll it would be unfair. Red Lion has a lot more customers and groups than the wine circle.
Be constructive not just a Troll. Add to the debate not try to debase it.
"Red Lion people drink wine and beer
DeletePenyffordd Wine Circle people drink wine and beer.
The difference being?"
The difference being the Strollers are getting a donation to play football not drink wine and beer???? I thought that would be obvious even to you?
As regards the poll I think you were missing the point. I didnt mean a poll to choose between the Red Lion Footballers and the Wine Circle but a poll to see whether or not the people of Penyffordd agree with any of their monies going to the Wine Circle at all. Maybe I could apply to the council to get a hand out for a few pints of lager with the boys at a weekend eh ? Oh and throw in a packet of pork scratchings too.
Constructive enough for you?
Just becuase someone has an opinion different to yours Colin it doesnt make them a troll
Yes constructive!
ReplyDeleteVarious councillors broke conflict of interest rules IMHO by voting for groups in which they had a personal interest. The Red Lion Strollers being one of the groups with councillor representation
I can't see the problems people have with the Wine Circle. It is a get together, a social evening. So, there is wine but it hardly equates with propping up the bar at The Red Lion and staggering home legless talking tripe....no names mentioned!
ReplyDeleteI have no problem with the wine circle at all.
ReplyDeleteWhat I do have a problem with is why certain people expect us tax payers to subsidise this.
I gather "socially" at my local but dont expect a hand out from the council to help pay for my beer.
Thats the point I'm getting at.
Further intell on Clive Weed
ReplyDeleteApparently he's a Dr, not in medical but as in something else.
Most probably says so on his election literature
The other connection being off the top of my head
is that David Williams was one of his proposers.
Why subsidize a pub part time football team?
ReplyDeleteCan someone point me to what football division they play in?
Deeside Sunday Football League and they are in Division ONE
DeleteFair play to them,in my opinion that achievement deserves more money next year.
DeleteI propose the 25 quid that the Penyffordd Whining & Dining club got goes to the football team next year
All those in favour say "aye"
There's a spelling mistake it should be whine club not wine club.
