A Merry Christmas to All

So ! What to do.

No relatives to visit. I used to get dragged around to relative's houses by the previous model.
Hope she doesn't read here.
A look around our locale shows plenty of visiting going on.

A walk around the woods with the dogs in the rain and a quiet Christmas lunch.
It's the only day in the year I might consider a glass of wine during the day.

--------------------------------------------

Decided to forgo the wine.....
Apparently Millstone Xmas lunch is £65 a go.

Here's Penymynydd Rd's
With Xmas pud to follow.
I'm advised Irish coffee is on the menu when
everything has digested.....

Clockwise, turkey, red cabbage, glazed carrots, roast potato, sprouts and sweet chestnuts, parsnips in maple syrup.

The sprouts go down well with plenty of cranberry jelly.

Lisa's Kitchen Chicken and Potatoes

The chicken wrapped in bacon, the potatoes with camembert cheese and orange sauce
and perhaps a glass of red.....or three.

and pears with dark chocolate to follow

This was sent back to the kitchen as the chocolate doesn't go with the pears.

Chocolate sauce would have been better.

I joke but last week we went to the Croes Howell where one of our party sent something back.
An embarrassment supreme.

I could do a trip adviser of the evening but perhaps it would be unfair.

I could however say the chocolate truffle cake was historic.

Lisa's Kitchen - Salmon and Potatoes

Recent visitors might think this site is just about councillor abuse. It is not. After the elections I expect no further issues as they will all be mad keen to work out a strategy for the village, a strategy for getting grant money, etc.

( Don't you mean a strategy to give Labour a good kicking? ) Ed.

Hopefully not. As someone said we're all in this together.

A long time ago I started Lisa's Kitchen. There are many photos. If anyone finds anything attractive to cook and can't find a recipe please ask.

Lisa pays attention to HFW, Jamie Oliver, Master Chef, Hairy Bikers, A Cook's Tour (Anthony Bourdain), James Martin and many others.
I pay attention to Nigella Lawson and Delia Smith

A little known series is TV Dinners by Hugh FW which I think rather excellent
The various series show life across the United Kingdom. A true taste of British life.
