David, Clive and Helen

It appears they do not want our votes. No leaflets through the door with 5 days to go.

I call Tom's crowd ( 6) the " Tom Jones Independents"
Perhaps we can call the above (3) the "Red Lion Stroller Independents" ?
Then we have Cindy ( Lab) all on her own.
And me of course all on my own.

Just so the voters know whose aligned with who.

If any of the above is not involved with each other perhaps you can put me right in the comments section.

Sharing leaflet distribution counts as a joint effort

How many leaflets has Joe Bell delivered?

  1. They are just three decent people, who have decided to stand on one leaflet together, they are genuine Independents just the same as the other six genuine Independents.
You are the odd one out and they would not wish to be associated with you, because you are Rude,Unkind,Offensive,Disrespectful,Ungrateful e.t.c. and on Friday Morning You will realise how you have offended so many Penyffordd Community Members. Your election campaign has been a complete disgrace to our Village.

    1. Thank you kindly for telling me that which I did not know. As I mentioned to Claire it was a fishing expedition. It was a guess.

This blog site has brought up various issues such as having no doctors, fighting between political enemies, no proper solution to Penymynydd Rd - White Lion, White Lion grants cave in by certain cllrs, sitting on hands whilst A55 Warren bank was built. Foot dragging on speeding that was 2000 a day in 2007.

Comments on this blog show that residents are not happy with cllr performance.

You try to give the impression that all the councillors are mates and they are after the best for Penyffordd. The reality is a bit different to the fairy tale you paint.

Back stabbing, upsetting phone calls to other cllrs, foot dragging when cllrs come up with good ideas want funding are the wrong party.

I presume since you do not mention Cindy Hinds who is a brave woman to put up with the crap that you are an Independent perhaps with a small "c".

    2. What is a disgrace to our village is that an 85 year old does not have the decency to step aside and allow new blood on the Community Council. He selfishly wants to keep his clique of 'yes' men and women around him, fight off progress keeping the village in the dark ages.

      Delete
    3. Where is the new blood? Nobody wants to do it?! There is no such thing as clique. Whoever you are (if your not anon/colin) I really do not think you know enough to be commenting!
Do you realise being on the council is unpaid? Would you be willing to get off your backside and do it? Or shall we all just VOTE COLIN X VOTE IDIOT X

    4. With Tom Jones having 8 on a sheet for 10 places things are very difficult for any individual. Printing can cost £300 plus 4 days delivering leaflets. Community Council is unpaid. County Cllr is currently in the region of £12.5K a year plus expenses.
County Cllrs have more printing expenses. Expenses cannot be claimed. They do however have to be recorded and sent to the Returning officer.

  2. Their's is not the only leaflet to have not arrived. The only election literature I have received so far has been Cindy's!

  3. Do you have a Crystal ball Colin? Or are you just such a Nosey Parker that you seem to know anything and everything about everyone in Penyffordd?

  5. Of course Claire, you could spend time on Tom Jones' blog/website...oh dear I forgot, he doesn't have one! Queen Victoria was still on the throne when Tom Jones OBE formed his ideas for running Penyffordd, and they haven't bugged since.

    1. A blatant lie here Colin - were you not very good at history at school?

    2. So in 1901, at the latest. Well, I'd call that a feat of near miraculous proportions. Kudos to Cllr Jones for being able to think 25 years pre-conception. Makes the rest of us seem like slackers, don't you think?

  6. I consider those who have a go at me without using argument or fact to be apologists for the old brigade who have stood by whilst many other communities have gained grants. Example: Trelawnyd and Treuddyn communities have worked to get money for their village halls. How much have our brave community cllrs sought out for our institute that must be the biggest radiator of heat in the area. That's just two examples there must be many more.

The community council will be 10 % down on day one if they vote Joe Bell back in.

    1. Ive had a brilliant idea. Why don't you p*ss off and go and live in Treuddyn since it's so great up there?

    2. I merely use examples to show my argument. Your comment a disgrace to those who want informed debate. - The winters are colder in Treuddyn.

      Fair point

  7. The bottom line being that David Williams, Clive Weed and Helen Jones do not want to be scrutinised.

They will be that's for sure.

People on here will be able to have their say.

I will probably vote for all three. The only sticking point is that Clive Weed and Tom Jones are big mates on the Institute committee.

Clive does however work very hard for the village and I will ignore his links to the village head man ( aged 85) who should be standing aside mission not accomplished.

  8. and David with 2008 results being

    Colin Bithell, Independent, 622
    David Williams, 629,
Cindy Hinds, Labour Party Candidate, 630,

It is no time to be behaving in a blase manner.

  9. Our two votes make up nearly 25% of the difference.

  10. and finally David. Colin Bithell's sympathy and sentimental vote attempt will most probably hurt you.

    2. Jokes aside, where is it?
Im not on a wind up, genuine question

    3. Yes I realise it's a genuine question.

      My leaflet

1.To encourage PCC to set up an email for the community council so residents have a quick method to communicate with PCC

2.Council Minutes and Agendas online to increase council transparency.

3.To encourage PCC to adopt a strategy for the village.

4.To fight for a local agreement where all Penyffordd councillors retire at 75.

      5. To encourage the council to improve their search for grants.

      6. To out councillors who use their positions for personal political gain over village benefit.

      7. To press NWP to deal with matters ASBO quickly and firmly.
A recent long term ASBO issue dragged on for too long.
      A family suffered unnecessarily.
      8. To fight against Penyffordd councillor oppression to freedom of thought and comment. Me being the subject of a secret meeting a symptom of the sickness in this village.

    4. Points 1-3 Fair enough.
Point 4 I disagree strongly as older people have experience and wisdom.
Point 5 I don't know enough about so won't comment.
Point 6 Do you mean Cindy and David? Have they used their position on the community council to get on the county council? I don't see how any other personal political gain has been made by anyone.
Point 7 Again, I don't know anything about this to comment.
Point 8 It seems that you were the subject of a secret meeting because you are such a pain in the ****

It would be nice to receive your literature the traditional way, through the letterbox, as only a very small percentage of the electorate come on your personal blog.

    1. Yes you raise an issue. It helps to block the sight of speeding traffic, also to baffle the traffic noise. In 2007 it was 3000 vehicles a day

As you know I live next door to a chip shop car park. The high hedges help to maintain privacy. The low life use the alley way to dump uneaten Chinese food etc. Some come around the back looking to steal. ( A bad career move if the dog is loose )

The trees that were 10 foot higher have been lowered.

You forgot to mention the side of the house.

I have all the materials to finish it off when the weather gets better.

Some people like open plan where everyone can nose in to see what you are doing. You can't do anything without the rest of the cul de sac knowing.
      I don't.

ps I tend to do spelling mistakes when I'm drunk too. I find it best to stay away from forums after a drink. Good job it's anonymous.

The term anonymous by the way applies to all those that prefer not to put their name to comments.

There are quite a few different people who comment on here. Some of you from your comments, I can tell have open minds which is most appreciated.

Anonymous is preferred by myself as you can discuss stuff without future grief from councillors.

You don't want to be the subject of secret council meetings ( as I was) because you raise issues that they would rather see buried.

Ask Nigel if you think me fibbing. He was there to record the meeting. Or are secret meetings held " off minute" ?
