Cllr David Williams using Penyffordd Community Council Website to voice his own opinions

But can't manage agendas or minutes.

Hello Readers and critics, sorry for not getting this sorted yet, the next meeting is in September so with a bit of luck minutes and agendas will be in place by then. I am taking the Latin out of this one but will leave it in on some of the other articles for our continental readers.
Really, this is just another practice which is all helping.
Sorry again for not being as efficient or switched on to these things as we all would like, but would anybody trust our local blogger to administer such an important site!

  1. For those who want some history. PCC spent £400 on a website that leaves a lot to be desired.

This is the second attempt at a website.

Look at Treuddyn for comparison. It's taken them months to get exactly no where. Could have put a set of agendas and minutes up on the web in half an hour for free using Blogger or Wordpress.

  2. Just FYI, have set up a blog to act as website for the parent and toddler group http://penyfforddtoddlers.blogspot.co.uk/. As you seem to keep on top of most activity in the village!

    1. Thank God that somebody in the village does keep on top of things. Left to our elected few we would not know what was going on. They prefer to keep everything among themselves. I don't think there is any need for sarcasm, hope you have a better attitude when you are involved with the toddlers.

  3. Rather think Councillor Williams should get his act together or get someone who can, to sort out the village website. Makes the village look rather stupid to others, rather than being critial of others! Teachers used to be role models and Councillor Williams isn't in that catagory at present.

  4. Bad form indeed! If Cllr. Williams wants to voice his own opinions, he should build his own blog. Oh dear, judging by the fiasco that is the PCC website we shall not hold our breath. This man is a Cllr. we expect better. The PCC website is a farce, if Cllr. Williams and his cronies can't do better, they should take it down.

  5. Thanks for the support. This issue has been going on for years if the previous website is included. This current effort has been waiting many months to be started. What I feel residents want is the agenda online the same time as Clerk Nigel puts it up on the board outside the Post Office. Then the minutes that have been ratified by the council. The minutes and agenda must be in digital form so it is just a matter of an email, copy contents to memory, copy contents to council website. It's a three minute job.

If we were really going to progressive we could have all the previous council minutes that are in digital format put up on to the council website.

This might be a step too far for the control freaks.
