Do you have the link to a website where you can read the votes? Not just for the County but for the Community results tomorrow?

DeleteDavid and Cindy keep their seats. Really wanted to see Colin their this year!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for saying.
DeleteVery well deserved Cindy! Glad for such a great result for her.
ReplyDeleteColin Hughes you were wrong about your predictions were you not? You thought David Williams would come on top, not so! Cindy was on top! You are a poor judge!
ReplyDeleteNot really . I predicted right on who would get nominated. I just misjudged the amount of hard work Cindy had done and national sentiment towards Labour.
DeleteHad I read the polls beforehand ...............
So your correspondents see Clive as a knight in shining armour!!
ReplyDeleteThere are lions now on the Council who will eat him alive!
He has no experience of Council work!
He is a doctor!
He knows a lot about a little, whereas Helen knows a little about a lot. I placed my faith and my vote in Helen!
Clive has appeared in Pantomime on the stage--to what avail his diction is appalling- his wife is vastly superior!
He is Chairman of the War Memorial Institute- what has he achieved, not in the same league as Mr Reith Ingman.
Clive's claim to fame is that he has managed to get rid of a good Caretaker and Booking Secretary, and is a good spender of Institute money!
Is the Institute any cleaner now?
Is it easier to book the Hall and Committee rooms?
How do we measure his success?
So do not expect great shakes from Clive!
Does he know how to handle people?
Time will tell!
You say "Clive's claim to fame is that he has managed to get rid of a good Caretaker and Booking Secretary"
DeleteIs this the couple who had the Institute locked for when Wine Circle met. I can call on 2 dozen witnesses to back up various "lock outs".
I think Clive and Helen have been standing "behind the curtain" for some time. It will do David Williams good to have them sitting at the table. Policy discussions down the Red on a Friday night?
DeleteYou also say "Clive's claim to fame is that he has managed to get rid of a good Caretaker and Booking Secretary"
DeleteWould it not be fair to say that those mentioned stormed off in a huff leaving the Institute in the lurch and that a committee member had to act a temporary booking clerk?
Reference your comments about the Chair of the New council.
ReplyDeleteWe have to remember that the old Council elected Cllr Tom Cones to serve as it's Vice-Chairman as was their choice, nothing to do with Cllr Tom jones at all. Someone had to stand in for Cllr David Williams if he was absent.
When the New council meets Cllr David Williams will preside, and after all Members have signed in and accepted the Code of Conduct, and relevant declarations have been made the Chairman will call for a proposition as to who should be Chairman, and it will then be open for any name to be put forward. Neither Cllr Tom Jones nor Cllr Cindy Hinds will have the power to put themselves forward, it will be entirely a matter for the Elected Members. In the event of more than one name being put forward, then it will be put to the vote, in the long accepted standard procedure. The person receiving the most votes will be Elected. The next step in the process vwill be the election of a Vice-Chairman
Many thanks for the clarification which will be published in its own right.
