The winners of this year’s Environmental Competition have been announced.

Best kept village under 1,000 population:

First prize: Ffrith
Equal second: Llanfynydd and Llanasa
Certificate of Merit: Ysceifiog

Best kept community over 1,000 population and under 5,000:

First prize: Caerwys
Equal second: Northop
Certificate of Merit: Higher Kinnerton

Best kept town centre with a population of over 5,000:

First prize: Holywell
Equal second: Mold and Mynydd Isa
Certificate of Merit: Buckley

Best kept senior citizens’ estate:

First prize: Och'r y Bryn, Halkyn
Second prize: Llys Mostyn, Trelawnyd
Equal third prize: Bryntirion, Rhewl, Mostyn and Blaenwern, Gwernymydydd
Certificates of Merit: Belvedere Court, Queensferry, Stoneleigh Close, Garden City and Hafan Deg, Treuddyn.
