Click to enlarge. This is the part of the council agenda for the meeting on Wednesday
Looks like Penyffordd Community Council can drag its feet till 2014 over an email address
Doesn't look like agendas and minutes are going to be published online
We will see.
I see we are going retro with regards communication to the village peasants.
How many councillors follow Cllr Tom Jones' view that residents should be given as little information as possible with it being as difficult as possible to contact the council?
How can anyone take that scrap of paper seriously? This is 2012, doesn't anybody on the Community Council posess a Computer? This really is a retrograde step. Looks as if it was written by a man with a quill, by candlelight in an attic. If ever there was any proof that we are in serious need of a new Chairman, this is most definately it!
ReplyDeleteWhilst a hand-written agenda is better than no agenda at all, does the Community Council consider this document worthy of public showing?
ReplyDeleteIt smacks of a "laissez-faire" attitude to those that the council is supposed to represent.
Even just typed up using Word, this document would look considerably better presented and give a more prefessional approach to village matters.
If there is this much care lacking in a "public" document then is it any wonder that funding applications have not been sucessful for various village projects and that the issues regarding health provision within Penyffordd & Penymynydd are not taken seriously either!
Shoddy! A poor example of what we have for a Community Council. It shows nothing but contempt for the community they represent. These are the individuals who have prevented Colin Hughes from building the Council a website. It should be about ability not personality. And Colin sure as heck could do better than the idiot who scrawled out that poor excuse for an agenda.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I am aware Cllr Tom Jones has email internet facilities which he hides from you the resident. As he says on his election literature " I derive great pleasure from serving the community "
ReplyDeleteProblem is its on Tom's terms and not the interests of Penyffordd community.
Scribe Nigel has internet facilities as well.
The question is how many Penyffordd Cllrs are with Tom in making it as difficult as possible to contact the council.
ReplyDeletePhone calls to the scribe can be met with " Can you phone back ?"
And another thing........... Emails allow a complete record of all that has been said. Phone calls are open to memory and interpretation.
ReplyDeleteand letter correspondence stone age.....
