Condolences to the deceased's family.
My view is that accident blackspots such as this should be made compulsory 30 or even 20 mph and rigorously enforced.
Whilst not wishing to pre-empt any investigation it should be noted that all the usual elements are in place.
The Pontblyddyn to Penyffordd road is also a constant accident issue. You would not believe the number of vehicle drivers who go well over white lines on blind bends.
The authorities seem content to allow it to continue.

SURELY ITS MORE TO DO WITH DRIVER AWARNESS THAN SPEED LIMITS? THE AMOUNT OF DRIVERS WHO ARE TOTALLY UNAWARE OF WHATS AROUND THEM ASTOUNDS ME.
ReplyDeleteSpeed kills. Every day on the road innocent lives are claimed because some idiot puts his foot down.
ReplyDeleteIts not speed that kills, its driving beyond your safe limits. Driving today from Wrexham to Chester at 4pm, I witnessed 5 counts of poor driving, mostly lack of awarness and lack of respect for other road users. 1 very near accident involving me, 2 other cars and an articulated lorry when some idiot went to leave the roundabout, then changed his mind causing the lorry to emergency brake and the car in fron of me to abandon leaving the roundabout and forced to drive around again! In the 25 years I've been driving, I've seen standards drop and drop, its appaling. The human race is regressing not evolving!!!
ReplyDeleteWith regards driving standards I concur.
