RSPCA calls for badger friendly milk
Postscript: Many thanks to Mark Tami MP for raising this matter in The Flintshire Chronicle.
Mark says as in our comments section that culling is not the way forward.
Mark is to be congratulated as opposed to ASDA who sit on the fence.
There is no concrete scientific evidence to prove that a cull will be effective, it could make TB cases worse in the surrounding areas. At best they can only hope to reduce TB by 16% in the first few years. Deer, rats, sheep and even dogs carry the virus, nobody mentions the possibility that the bacteria can lives in the Slurry produced by infected cattle. A cull is not the answer.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you say. Can't see why they can't feed them food with antibiotics. It's easy to see where the enter fields under fences.
