Dissapointment for Flintshire County Councillors

"Among the incidents were his refusal to accept the advice of the town council clerk."

  1. At last! It is high time that Councillors were reigned in. They behave very badly towrads colleagues, Council staff and anybody they think, gets in their way. These men and women were elected, they are there to serve the community not their own agenda.

Councillors who insult others as did KAB, whether its verbally, by phone or through the medium of a scurrilous blog, should be ousted come next election! After the year she has had waging war on her colleagues at County Hall, Alison Halford will be hard pressed to find the votes she needs.

  2. "they are there to serve the community not their own agenda" Has someone told Cllr Tom Jones this?

  3. This is my problem Colin, if these Councillors want to follow their agenda, fine. But look after their own Ward first, and that means the needs of everyone not just their own cronies.

Tom Jones hasn't helped the traffic problem up in Penyffordd at all as far as I can see. He and Colin can smirk all they like, but you don't exaggerate, the volume of traffic in your village is far too high with way too many HGV's.
Voters need Councillors they can trust and have a measure of faith in, they want our votes, then they need to put the people first.

  4. Many thanks for your comments. Higher Kinnerton Council are currently putting place traffic control systems that Cllrs Tom Jones and Colin Bithell have fought against in Penyffordd for five years. Thereby adding extra risk to school children, OAP's and making the daily environment in Chester Rd intolerable at times.
The above mentioned cllrs have more sympathies for HGV, short cut traffic and the speeders.

  5. As mentioned elsewhere Chester Rd now qualifies for road traffic calming measures. It is hoped this has the full backing of Cllrs David Williams and Cindy Hinds and that the dirty tricks of Tom Jones' Independents will be fended off.

  6. I do hope that Traffic calming measures will be implemented in Chester Road. I admire you for your tireless campaigning on this matter Colin. Unlike the Cllr's. there is no currency of any kind in this for you.
But you have stuck to your guns on this, even though you get your fair share of criticism especially on Leader Live.
You are obviously someone who is dedicated, who cares about his community and works hard to promote safety on Chester Road, which is more than can be said for Messers. Jones and Bithell. Let's face it, if there is no chance of a few votes in it, those two really aren't interested!
Good on you Colin, small villages need more people like you.
