An environmental disaster for Penyffordd.

This has been on the cards for a while.

  1. Little negative reaction to what I think will be the biggest environmental threat ever to Penyffordd.
10 aircraft flying over every hour. Or is it going to be 20?

It's what happens when you announce in the middle of August.
    Just what the planners wanted

  2. I agree Colin. The noise and pollution are uppermost in our minds.
Then there is also the question of all the additional traffic. The A55 can barely cope now, the traffic in and around Broughton can be horrendous at certain times of the day. If you have bought a house here, your chances of you selling it once the Airport is up and running will be greatly reduced.
If you complain people go on about all the additional jobs for the area.
As you say, announce it in August. It must have been a good day to bury bad news.
    Ann.

  3. Ann, I think its the thin end of the wedge. If Ryanair or Easyjet take an interest we are talking lots and lots of air traffic. People who have saved up all their lives, worked hard to find their little piece of paradise will find their garden environment trashed.

I can see certain advantages for our N Wales AM's here too.
