Park in the Past

 


Courtesy of https://twitter.com/DronePicsWales One way to get here is walk past Penyffordd Train Station towards Pontblyddyn. First left down Stryt Isa. About half a mile on the right is a footpath which goes over the railway. There is usually room to park the car. 

If you enlarge photo the footpath is near the white house to the right of the lake. This was a sand quarry used by Castle Cement. I've read the sand was formed by glaciers descending down the Ffrith valley.....
