  1. As a resident of said part of Penymynydd Road, the issue with misuse lies soley with the Police.

For the 10 or so years I've lived here the road has been used as a rat-run by residents of all parts of the village.

I once followed someone who used it as a cut through all the way down as far as Corwen Rd, so it's not just those on WHD who use it.

They get away with it because of a lack of enforcement by NWP.

If the restriction was regularly enforced and fines metered out on a weekly basis, it's use would stop, and people would think twice about using that section of road vs risking a fine.

As I've previously suggested, bollards, permanent kerbs to block it by Green Park, or a one-way system is the only way to reduce / curtail un-authorised usage.

  2. Your last comment I agree with. Now is the time before White Lion Estate is built to sort this issue out for good.
The area is there to deal with Emergency Agency issues.

It appears Flintshire County Council are not behind you residents.

Your comment about Police very correct. They are not committed to a lot of things. It's very sad.

  3. Also Penyffordd Community Councils biggest action is to write a letter. That scares everybody not !

Always seen to be doing the right thing.

What is needed are protest posters and getting the media involved. Block the road in the morning at school time. Sit in the road.

Doesn't help having an 86 year old man in charge.
