Airbus' Notice to their Workers- a further email to Mark Stewart

The company have received a number of complaints over the last few weeks regarding motorists who have been witnessed disregarding speed limits in local villages. These complaints have been sent to Airbus UK as they allege that the problem is more prevalent around our various shift start and finish times, and that many of the offenders are Airbus employees.

Whilst the company obviously have no jurisdiction over employees driving to and from work, and in fact there is no clear evidence to support these claims, safety is of paramount importance, and therefore we would politely ask all our employees to respect speed limits whilst driving in the local area. Many of you are residents all at Airbus, and examples of our efforts in the area of road safety have been to work in partnership and working to improve cycle paths and road access. As our site and facilities develop, we continue to work to ensure a harmonious and positive relationship with the local community.

Your support with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Paul Mckinlay
Head of HR, Broughton Operations

Dear Mark

Thank you for communicating with me this morning. I did not read Paul McKinlay's email properly. The two sections of Paul's communication to the Airbus work force in red are not of any help to Chester Rd, Penyffordd.

If Airbus had any sympathy to the village you would arrange an undercover survey of your employees at times when you know they will be coming through the village. I can tell you where to park to see them powering through at 60 mph.

You take personnel who will recognise your workers. It is ded easy to see they plough through our village. You discipline them for trashing our environment. You give them all a warning.

The continue to work bit is just platitudes.
