Would you want Wales to leave the United Kingdom?

I've stopped watching media but this keeps popping up on my Facebook, can't block it because its an advert, everyone different.

Apparently if Labour and Plaid Cymru get enough seats in the forth coming Welsh elections they will press to leave the United Kingdom.

Rejoining the EU is on the table.

England is quite capable of surviving without Wales.

Wales without England will have to rely on the sht show known as the EU.

Otherwise we plunge to 3rd world status.

Can't see England letting this happen on Constitutional grounds and rightly so.

England is the powerhouse of the Union. Wales is a minion. England just gave us another £400M.

Labour led Welsh Assembly have run the Welsh NHS for 20 years. Hardly a success.

Why can't you send an email to your doctor?

Asking for a friend.

What shower of shit do we have running Wales? Lets save the NHS........

Strange how deeside.com, wrexham.com and The Leader don't run this stuff

The Benefits of Devolution

England manages their coronavirus issues

Wales manage theirs.

Flintshire Trading Standards have stopped Tesco Mold from selling £5 fruit trees

They are classed as non essential.

They have them in stock. Apple, pears and plum

You can buy flowers though........

You can buy the fruit trees in Tesco in England but they have none left.........

No news, is it Friday yet?

Welsh Assembly Gov blow 17K to find out whether we have any statues linked to slavery.

Whilst we have former soldiers with PTSD sleeping on the streets in freezing conditions.

Why don't we just boot these Aholes into the Irish Sea?

Email says no houses sold, can't believe. Redrow..........

Anyway, here's The Man

Vounog Sledging Field - Cllr David Williams

After such an enjoyable day that many of you have had on the Vounog, I just want to update you on the future of this natural and brilliant village amenity.

Most of you will be aware that there is a planning application for housing from the top of the field to the public footpath opposite Park lane by the conker tree. This has been turned down by Flintshire, but has gone to appeal that is to be considered at a public inquiry with the Planning Inspectorate. This was due to have been heard last April, but delayed due to Covid where we are still waiting for a new date.

As councillors and many residents, we have all put our representations in to oppose this development, and on this occasion, Flintshires planning department are fighting this appeal as well.
Mr & Mrs Wrench and their families, who are the former land owners and now lease holders, have been fantastic for well over fifty years that I know about in allowing residents to use this field during the snow, and have also been very supportive in ensuring the public rights of way are well maintained. They have been a real credit to this village for many many years.
It is therefore extremely important that we do not lose this land to more housing, and with your support, we will fight all the way to resist any housing development on there.

Very Important info on Planning.
Many of you will also be aware that there is a Local Development Plan (LDP) being put together for the County, and my representation compiled with the Community Council is for land to the East of Vounog Hill, including the sledging field, and land West of the bypass be re-categorised as green barrier.
There is to be a inquiry run by the Inspectorate that starts on 22nd February, and in support of our case for this request, I am trying to organise an online and written petition to present to the inquiry when we are called.

The purpose of this petition is to demonstrate the general discontent of most village residents, about the amount of houses that have been built in the village, and that we have provide more than our fair share of housing for Flintshire over the past five to ten years. This concern is also shared by many who have just moved here!

It is now broadly felt that we deserve to remain an established village where our country surroundings and important farm land is protected long term. We also want to demonstrate what an important amenity the land on the edge of the village is as a winter recreation on the Vounog, and retain what is left of our country setting that is important for the health and well being of residents.

I hope to have details of this petition ready early this week, so please keep checking social media, the Council website and village notice boards and businesses for details.

I will also do my best to keep you informed on all matters to do with the above, but please feel free to contact me if you have any queries.

Cllr David Williams.
Community and County.

Comrade Drakeford wishes you Happy Xmas

Wifey informs me that Mark Drakeford  Welsh FM has laid down the rules for Christmas.

Penyffordd Facebook are up in arms

One FB member says she has not been out since March 2020.

This all ends when people tell our government at Cardiff and Westminster to FO.

Meanwhile tax generators go to the wall by the 1000.

Can you see where this is going?

All that is needed is that the vulnerable are protected. Hospitals and nursing homes.

Cases mean nothing. Testing is highly inaccurate.

Main Stream Media keep spreading bull shit.

Coronavirus - More Rules for the Peasants

 https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/what-you-can-cant-today-19235961

Thankfully I have developed my life to the extent I can say FRO to all of the rules

Sadly this is not true of many. We need a revolution.

A corona virus vaccine has been wheeled out today. A so called efficiency of 90%

Its brand new and side effects are little known.

I will not be having it.

Recovery from Corona without the vaccine in England (ONS) is around 99.98% ...........

Bonfire Night - A Message from our Dear Leader

Mark Drakeford FM Wales

"As far as Bonfire Night is concerned on November 5, clearly people will not be able to go to organised bonfire or fireworks displays. Fireworks can still be bought, however. They are non-essential items but licensed premises that are still open are permitted to sell fireworks.  However, people need a reasonable excuse to leave home and buying fireworks is not a reasonable excuse."

Governments wasting your tax money

FYI. Westminster gave Wales £170million. It built 17 Nightingale hospitals. SEVENTEEN for 3.1million people. 16 of the 17 hospitals were never used. “In hindsight, spending £166m on 46 patients was not a good use of resources”.

Politics in Wales

If you want to get a flavor of how decisions, planning or otherwise are reached in Wales here's yer man.

Comments are educational to say the least.

The data in this site is vast so I've used the CS tag as it brings up planning and politics in Flintshire.

Corona Virus Update

Deaths attributed to the coronavirus in UK are currently very low.

Scotland run by the SNP / Green Party have announced a 16 day ban on alcohol in bars, restaurants, etc.

Will the jokers at the Welsh Assembly Government  ( Lab ) follow suit?

Plans for 20mph speed limit in residential areas in Wales

Encouraging

Plans for 20mph speed limit in residential areas in Wales backed by Senedd.

Wrexham BC. have 20mph limits throughout the borough.

Flinshire CC have very little 20mph zones

Putting yellow lines on our former trunk roads in Penyffordd allows through traffic to go faster.
Locals on Chester Rd have no where to park unless you are on the committee at the Legion.

Penyffordd Community Council are not interested at all. As bad as FCC.
Most cllrs live in cul de sacs.

They are worse than when Tom Jones was in charge of Penyffordd.
Putting wires down to check speed and publishing results should be a standard health and safety procedure for the village.

Penyffordd Lockdown eases

Well slightly
Loads of people sitting outside in the cold in their coats at The Red Lion this evening.
Also some at The Bridge, Pontblyddyn and the pub in Coed Talon.

Our governments are going to give further punishment to businesses by making face masks compulsory in shops.

What idiots.

postscript. Lets kick them while they are down. WAG wants to ban smoking outside premises.

Coronavirus Puzzle II

Text from Welsh Assembly Government Tweet

What does ‘stay local’ mean? We’ve deliberately not defined this because “local” may vary across Wales. We’re asking you to use good judgement. For example, travelling from Cardiff to Porthcawl to exercise on a beach, or Ruthin to Snowdonia to walk – is not staying local.

---------------------------------------------------------------

WTF

Can I travel 8 miles up the road to walk my dog in the middle of nowhere without being persecuted by NWP?
