Castell Alun Full Up !

Chairman of Flintshire Council, Carolyn Thomas, says the council’s planning and education departments are running the risk creating “fractured communities” by approving extensive housing projects but failing to expand schools.

A total of 400 new homes are being built in Penyffordd, near Mold, but there are fears that secondary schools in the area do not have the room to accommodate the expected influx of children.

Primary school children from Dobshill, who usually go on to attend Castell Alun High School in Hope, have been told they will be going to Hawarden High School from September.

Illegal parking outside my house

will come under the umbrella of Flintshire County Council shortly.
NWP do not want to do it anymore. It upsets the natives.

The Leader comments system is a joke

I had two comments removed by someone yesterday. Anyone can remove comments. The comments were criticising NWP over token traffic policing that makes it look like they are doing something when in reality they are doing very little.

How many comments are reinstated? I think very few.

Half the comments could be removed because they are written by muppets.

Dear Leader
 -
A letter for consideration
-
Chief Constable Mark Polin is to be congratulated on his new column in The Leader " On the Beat" which discussed how NWP deal with rape. With regards the anti social behaviour of speeding Gosafe (formerly Arrive Alive) have had 174 communities ask for their assistance in Flintshire. Currently there are only 14 communities within Flintshire receiving support.
Clearly the agencies of Gosafe and NWP are falling a long way short in dealing with  this issue.
-
I look forward to a similarly erudite article in "On the Beat" with proposals to tackle this on going plague in our communities.
