Cllr Colin Bithell in The Leader

over Warren Hall Business Park. Good points made by Colin but he forgot to mention all the extra traffic through the village. Mind you if his arguments are correct we will not be having any extra traffic.

Letter re Warren Hall Business Park

A letter published in today's Leader

The Leader comment last Friday talks about " not rejecting the creation of new jobs" with regards Warren Hall Business Park Development. So far the Welsh Assembly Government, Flintshire County Council and the Planning Inspector have ignored the real issues of vastly increased traffic levels for Penyffordd and Kinnerton.
How can we have any faith in the planning process if the real concerns of local communities are just steam rollered aside? Support for this development will happen after our communities are protected and not before.

Bad news for Chester Rd Penyffordd

Work has started on the A55 Warren Bank Interchange at Broughton. This will have an enormous effect on traffic through Penyffordd unless through traffic is banned. Traffic coming from the North of England travelling to Mid Wales will get off the A55 at Warren Bank instead of Dobshill and take a short cut through the village also on the way back home. This will add 1000's of vehicles each week. This news is very bad for Chester Rd.

Penyffordd Community Council in secret talks with Flintshire County Council

Charles Hughes Head of Engineering and Derek Kirby Transport Flintshire County Council have met with Penyffordd Community Council and County Councillor Cindy Hinds to discuss Warren Hall.
No mention was made of this meeting upfront. Nigel Jones, Clerk to The Penyffordd Community Council is quoted that I had been aware of the date of the meeting . This is a lie.
