Vision for former Ysgol Penyffordd site

A vision has been set out which could see shops, bungalows and an events area created in place of an old school building in Flintshire.

Local councillor David Williams said he would like to see businesses, housing and an open space where events could be held.

Dog Stealing News

postcript: Still happening today ( Friday) . A male in a white van approached two lady walkers ( separate incidents ) with dogs, one lady ran in somebody's garden. NWP are aware.

A women walking her dog in Penyffordd ( source Penyffordd FB )  was stopped by a male in a white van yesterday. Registration number given to North Wales Police. One lady resident is frightened to take her dog for a walk.

What are Penyffordd County Cllrs and and Community Cllrs doing about this?

What are local media saying?

Apparently NWP are on the case. But shit show comments say otherwise"Police have warned people not to take the law into their own hands after "unfounded allegations" were spread on social media about alleged dog snatch attempts in Wrexham."https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/police-respond-reports-alleged-dog-20280993

Instant liason between residents and NWP via Facebook would help.

postscript: The following have been emailed this blog: Daily Post, The Leader, Mark Tami MP, Jack Sargeant MS, Mark Isherwood MS, Cllr David Williams, Cllr Cindy Hinds, Penyffordd  Community Council, North Wales Police.

Well done to local residents

who picked up 50 bags of litter in Penyffordd district over the weekend.

Not so well done to the  Flintshire County Council Refuse Team who sprayed Crossroads and Hawarden Rd with litter that fell out of the wagon last Tuesday morning. ( and not picked up )

Perhaps Penyffordd Council need to have a word.....

To Penyffordd Post Office

Its just gone 10.00am and its closed............

This is at least the 6th time it has happened this year

I've got a parcel its paid for just needs leaving behind the counter.

This a real big issue for non post office staff.

postscript1: We've gone from a post office that would price 12 of my parcels and send, then bill me next day to a "post office" that is not guaranteed to be open. A sht show.

postcript2: I've told the council, they say no one else has complained to them, perhaps its their lack of internet and old thinking.

Perhaps filed under "it didn't happen" ?

I've told them I'll get back in my box and let the OAP's struggle with mediocre service.

Hope Post Office has normal opening hours.

postscript3: This issue will come up at the next council meeting. Outcome: No evidence, we will not look.

OAP's continue to suffer. End of.

LTN

 Low Traffic Neighborhoods

This is a good idea

Especially if you have a bypass

This seems to have bypassed Penyffordd Community Council and FCC

Loads of yellow lines to facilitate speedy pass through

Best not audit speeding  to show what (edited) you are

Plans for 20mph speed limit in residential areas in Wales

Encouraging

Plans for 20mph speed limit in residential areas in Wales backed by Senedd.

Wrexham BC. have 20mph limits throughout the borough.

Flinshire CC have very little 20mph zones

Putting yellow lines on our former trunk roads in Penyffordd allows through traffic to go faster.
Locals on Chester Rd have no where to park unless you are on the committee at the Legion.

Penyffordd Community Council are not interested at all. As bad as FCC.
Most cllrs live in cul de sacs.

They are worse than when Tom Jones was in charge of Penyffordd.
Putting wires down to check speed and publishing results should be a standard health and safety procedure for the village.

Edwina Davies RIP

One of the village's stalwarts.
Edwina used to come knocking on my door to discuss my blog content.
Last time I saw her in action was at the Redrow Public Enquiry
Bending the ear of Redrow's QC

Glowing tribute in the Leader.

BLM continued updated

BLM/Antifa thugs in London are now hunting lone veterans and football lads in packs, not a policeman in sight. Penyffordd Cllrs sleep  well in their beds after virtual signalling......

Blacks with gang mentality.. Thugs..

postscript: 20 black lads roaming around central London with machetes last night. I won't upload the photo of the white lads arm that was nearly hacked off.

Yes lets end racism Penyffordd Cllrs.

Penyffordd Community Council BLM

https://www.penyfforddcouncil.org/penyffordd-council-work/2020/6/13/black-lives-matter-here-too

This is disappointing for many reasons.

Last time I looked the village was over 95% white
Penyffordd Council 100% white

Nothing more than virtual signalling.

postscript: Just looked on my Twttr timeline. In London today, people of colour slashing a white man's throat whilst police watch, another stamping on a white man's head. They're going around in groups looking for white people to attack.

Yellow Line Meeting 10th July 6.30 pm Penyffordd Institute

My 2 penny worth

1. Traffic speeds in Chester Rd have increased since yellow lines have been put down. Not just my opinion. This is at school time. Ah! you say the school is moving. Still child cyclists will be using the main roads.

2. British Legion and Penyffordd Institute actions in closing down parking is very poor. We have residents here with no place to park off road. The suggestion that local residents pay a fee to the Institute deserves derision.

Illegal Parking Outside The Spar

It's 8.30 pm and a resident has just dodged a parking fine on the new yellow lines.

Never been that keen on speeders who have the capacity to kill or injure.

Looks like Penyffordd Community Council are playing hard ball.

Parking Woes

Notices have gone up in Chester Rd / Penymynydd Rd for the extension of double yellow lines. This part of the village is old. Houses built with no parking facilities.

My neighbors have 7 cars, sometimes 10, parking for 3.

Cafe customers park here as its too difficult to park at the cafe.
Friday there was a row outside here when a cafe customer parked across 2 of the 3 parking spaces.

Penyffordd Institute have banned parking on their carpark.

Parking on Chester Rd actually slows traffic down.
PCC are not interested in a calm village environment. They think planting a few daffodils does the job.
We have a bypass but we are used as a major short cut.

Welcome to the new caring Penyffordd Community Council, the new social cohesion.

I expected better with new faces but its the same old same. No different to the Tom and Colin days.

Spar parking with the addition of the new yellow lines is going to be interesting.

Mandatory 20 MPH Welsh Assembly Law

Our MP Mark Tami lives in a village in Flintshire with a compulsory 20 mph zone through the village.

And Penyffordd, Nothing!

Wrexham BC has 100's of compulsory 20 mph zones.

The above image applies to schools but if its Ok for Mark its Ok for us

Penyffordd Community Council has seen over construction of smooth main road through the village. More yellow lines are coming to Chester Rd.

A speeders paradise.
