27,630,000 lost GP appointments since March 2020. 

350,000 lost cancer referrals 

62,000 lost urgent cancer referrals. 

12,000 lost secondary cancer treatment appointments.

It is only going to get worse. 

GPs would need to work 20 consectuive weekends to catch up!

A Bizarre Day

Needed to do some lathe work for my DIY CNC engraver.

My lathe needs sorting ( its going on Ebay) 

Ring up mate who has a workshop, known them for 15 yrs.

Wife stands in the porch whilst I wrestle with jaw changes and tool heights on lathe in workshop.

Courtesy of https://twitter.com/DronePicsWales One way to get here is walk past Penyffordd Train Station towards Pontblyddyn. First left down Stryt Isa. About half a mile on the right is a footpath which goes over the railway. There is usually room to park the car. 

If you enlarge photo the footpath is near the white house to the right of the lake. This was a sand quarry used by Castle Cement. I've read the sand was formed by glaciers descending down the Ffrith valley.....

FTTP coming to Penyffordd

 I was talking to the BT sub contractors the other day who are adding extra cable to the telegraph poles and underground system. They are connecting FTTP to the communications system.

To the un initiated (includes me) this is fibre cable that will have internet speeds up to 1000 Mbps
( megabytes per second )

FTTP stands for Fibre to the Premises. This is the best connection available.

Looks like I will have to upgrade our network server computer to cope.

Don't like Wifi with all the microwave energy hammering around the house. Its switched  on when required then switched off. All network systems are cable.

Note, not many talk about the health implications of the upcoming 5G.

Corona Virus madness - Masks

Masks are having to be worn from Monday in shops in Wales. I see on Wrexham.com people are gagging to wear them. Sheep! Baaaa.

With all the knowledge on social media available people are still acting stupid, ill-informed.

Masks do not stop the virus, they are also a health hazard to your respiratory system. This has been repeated ad infinitum on Twitter. I'm not talking keyboard warriors here I'm talking advice from  scientists, professors, experts on virus.

I've worn a mask once to get my haircut. Looks like I have to wear one when I go to the Post Office with orders. Other than that anyone pushing mask wearing can FRO.

The stupidity of goverment is very evident.

Many businesses will not survive this stupidity.

Penyffordd remains very quiet, subdued. Lots more people out walking, less cars in the village. As far as I'm concerned this can continue.

Mask Wearing

Our stupid national government (England) are going to make masks compulsory for going into shop like environments. Coronavirus is currently lower in incidence as compared to Flu.
Coronavirus figures have been inflated through the roof to fit the narrative.

I've just seen someone on his daily fast walk to the shops wearing a mask. He is restricting his oxygen intake whilst exercising. This is foolhardy. He is well over 70.

Putting yellow lines on our former trunk roads in Penyffordd allows through traffic to go faster.

Locals on Chester Rd have no where to park unless you are on the committee at the Legion.

Penyffordd Community Council are not interested at all. As bad as FCC.
Most cllrs live in cul de sacs.

They are worse than when Tom Jones was in charge of Penyffordd.
Putting wires down to check speed and publishing results should be a standard health and safety procedure for the village.

Not sure if I'm doing this right but it looks like reported deaths in Penyffordd and Kinnerton look to be 2 deaths between the  3 months March to the end of May 2020

That's reported deaths, no separation is made with regards dying of coronavirus or dying with corona virus which are 2 separate circumstances.

So people have been scared witless, some not venturing out their houses for over 3 months, others walking around with masks all day even when driving on their own in cars.

Might have mentioned this before but something went around my wife's office over Xmas and New Year. Wife had flu like symptoms for 3 days. I developed extreme breathlessness when walking. Had my heart and lungs checked out at the Maelor a month later, no issues.
