postscript. Cllr Tony Sharps in the Flintshire Chronicle says he is a spokesman for the new group.
It would be fair to say that Tony is usually a bit more than a spokesperson.
get your facts right
ReplyDeleteLeader story says
ReplyDeleteAaron Shotton has now confirmed an agreement has been reached with a newly-formed Independent group led by former deputy leader Tony Sharps.
Would you like to expand?
Could have been worse, he could have formed an alliance with Patrick Heesom breakaway Independants. Lesser of the two evils...maybe????
ReplyDeleteI thought that I read in the press that Cllr. Patrck Heesom was so stressed out that he sent sick notes to the Ombudsman so he would not have to appear. So, how is it the very same Cllr. was well enough to run his campaign for re election?
ReplyDeleteIt must be a miracle!
What Traitors!!!
ReplyDeleteIs this what their Electors voted for??
They will not forget!
This is Treachery at it's worst.
ReplyDeleteDo they not realise that if the electors in their respective areas wanted a Labour administration they would have voted Labour.
Oh you idiots!
Turn again whilst you have time. Do not allow the lure of power and financial gain override your sense of what is right or wrong.
Agreed! Tony Sharp's selling his soul to cling on to a little bit of power. Those who voted for him on the 3rd are long forgotten. Thanks Tony, but we will remember next May.
Delete"Do not allow the lure of power and financial gain override your sense of what is right or wrong."
ReplyDeleteYou are talking about politicians after all.
Is it not true that accommodation has to be made. Some win some loose.
Good post Colin and people do have a point. Anyone who voted for Tony Sharps, Helen Brown and the others were not voting Labour.
ReplyDeleteI am afraid it is indeed the lure of power. Tony Sharps points out that his group have not joined the Labour party, quick enough to to do a deal though. As you so rightly pointed out, TS is usually a bit more than a spokesperson.
Tony Sharps and that gang are nothing but a bunch of Judas'. They don't give a fig about the Flintshire voters, it's all ME ME Me!
ReplyDeleteLittle man, Napoleon Complex!!
I wondering what the definition of an Independent might be?
ReplyDeleteHere in Penyffordd we have Independents that used to be Conservative and Labour. To be sure it must be easier to get in at Penyffordd as an Independent rather than a Conservative.
Our head man Tom Jones, I class a Conservative even though he labels himself Independent.
I always thought that Independents were closet Tories. I think that Tom Jones OBE would fall happily into that category.
