Do you do anything for the community? Or are you another one of these that can 'do better' while sat at home?Johnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38889077.post-35761782405503828852014-03-26T19:38:20.393+00:002014-03-26T19:38:20.393+00:00The disquiet was only because he lost a democratic...The disquiet was only because he lost a democratic vote. Chair of Governors have to seek re-election every year - and on this occasion, someone else put their name forward - there was a secret ballot and Tom lost. Cue mock outrage from Clive Weed who stormed out of the meeting - don't they like democracy at work - not when it goes against them it seems!

If only we could get rid of community councillors as easily.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38889077.post-18502526620186138182014-03-25T21:56:12.391+00:002014-03-25T21:56:12.391+00:00Hi

I seem to remember disquiet among community cllrs over the way matters were handled. Saying that its about time Cllr Tom Jones and his cronies all stood down. They have stymied good people (not me) wanting to make a contribution to village life. Our electorate rubber stamping Tom and co every 4 years in my opinion has had a deleterious effect that will be long lasting.
eg How many meetings has Cllr Joe Bell attended? Not a well man, wasn't when he stood last for council. I'm sure Tom's voters would elect a mummy if they could get away with it.Colinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12426100640135762811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38889077.post-52469282687995912402014-03-25T16:58:58.587+00:002014-03-25T16:58:58.587+00:00Correction....Tom was removed as Chair of the, now...Correction....Tom was removed as Chair of the, now defunct, Penyffordd junior school. He remained as a governor for the duration of that governing body. He was not nominated, nor did he seek nomination to the board of governors for the new school. So he was not removed in a bloodless coup d'etat....but good riddance none the less!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
